Think about your needs
When the time comes to invest in a new heating or air conditioning system, in order to determine which system is most suitable to supplement or replace your current system, you first need to know what kind of heating system you have (electric baseboard heaters; electric, gas or fuel-oil pulsed-air heating; central heating; hot water heating; underfloor heating; etc.).
Next, determine your needs. Do you want to enhance your day-to-day comfort, save money on your electricity bill, combat the dog days of summer or avoid the dry air of winter? Are you looking for equipment that’s energy efficient, low-maintenance, easy to use or quiet? Do you have trouble sleeping because the temperature in your home is always too cold or too hot?
Determine your purchasing criteria
